The Runarounds Live at USC is the debute EP of the band The Runarounds. It was recorded January 15, 2024, released on June 2, 2024 and produced by Jerry Harrison.

Background and Recording

The band "The Runarounds" was initially formed by William Lipton, Axel Ellis, Zendé Murdock, Jesse Golliher, and Jeremy Yun in Wilmington, North Carolina in 2021 after the five had met through a casting call for the show "Outer Banks." Show creator, Jonas Pates, had cast the band members because he wanted the authenticity of real musicians in the show. The five had never acted before, but had played with each other at a number of shows in Wilmington.[1]

Following this initial interest by Pates, the band recorded a pilot for a show initially called "Untitled Band Project" which was later picked up by Amazon in 2024 and became the show "The Runarounds." The album was recorded in between the pilot and the show getting picked up.[2]

The EP is a recording of the band's performance at TKE's USC chapter fraternity house in Los Angeles, California. [3]
