David Byrne's upcoming album

A new studio album by David Byrne began recording in May 2024, featuring Ghost Train Orchestra with production by Kid Harpoon. This will be Byrne's first studio album since American Utopia (2018). The album is still in development and has not been officially announced, but some details have been made available. One of the upcoming songs for the album, Moisturizing Thing explores a story about moisturizer. Recording sessions began in May 2024 at Power Station studios in New York City, a month after Byrne performed on stage with Ghost Train Orchestra (as well as Kronos Quartet and various guests) at The Town Hall, covering songs by Moondog.
