An early version was first written, performed, and recorded in 1993, around the same time as his [[David Byrne (1994)|self-titled album]], and then around 1997, a version was recorded with [[Devo]] who also collaborated on the ''[[Feelings]]'' song ''[[Wicked Little Doll]]''. A version was recorded again during sessions for [[Look into the Eyeball]] around 2001, with a fourth recording for ''Grown Backwards'' becoming the version released on an album. The version with Devo received a larger release in 2022 as part of the compilation album ''[[Noise for Now]]''.
