A Night of Stop Making Sense
A Night of Stop Making Sense refers to two events in June 2024, one in Los Angeles (June 5) and one in New York City (June 13), each featuring a screening of Stop Making Sense followed by a Q&A with Talking Heads. The events were first announced in April 2024, presented by A24 and Sister Midnight. In addition to a screening of the film, each of the events includes a performance of a song from the film by an artist who appeared on the A24 tribute album Everyone's Getting Involved, released in May 2024.

The screening in Los Angeles took place on June 5, 2024 at the Pantages Theatre where Stop Making Sense was originally recorded. The event began with a performance of Thank You For Sending Me An Angel by Blondshell, followed by a screening of the film, followed by Talking Heads participating in a Q&A with Andy Richter (originally intended to be Fred Armisen) which included several audience questions as well as questions asked by Richter.
This was the first time that the band been together at the Pantages Theatre since the film was recorded in December 1983, over 40 years earlier. Fred Armisen was announced as the host of the Q&A but by the time of the event, posters displayed that it would instead be hosted by Andy Richter, who explained on stage that Fred Armisen was busy in Ireland so unable to attend.

The screening in New York City took place on June 13, 2024 at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn. Later the same night, an episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon aired (recorded the previous day, June 12), with Talking Heads being interviewed by Jimmy Fallon. The Linda Lindas also performed on this episode.
