The Heads were a band composed of Talking Heads members Jerry Harrison, Tina Weymouth, and Chris Frantz. They released their first and only studio album, No Talking, Just Head in October 1996, though the project was commercially and critically unsuccessful. The band members would later go on to pursue other musical interests again.
The Heads got together around 1994 after unsuccessful attempts to get Talking Heads back together with David Byrne, and started recording the studio album. The Heads weren't just a trio, but ended up being a large collaborative effort, having friends and musical acquaintances fill in as guest vocalists.
In late 1996, David Byrne filed a lawsuit towards the three core members of The Heads, asserting that their name and presentation was too evocative of Talking Heads and that this release was a trademark violation. The suit ended up being settled out of court.

Starting in June 1990, the 3 began performing together as part of the Escape From New York Tour, which also included performances by Debbie Harry and the Ramones.[2] While they were billed separately, with Harrison as a solo act and Frantz and Weymouth as Tom Tom Club, all 3 Talking Heads band members would perform together. Frantz and Weymouth would join in as part of Harrison's backing band, and vice-versa.[1]
