Dolette McDonald (born February 2, 1952)
Dolette McDonald (born February 2, 1952) was a part of the first live expanded lineup of Talking Heads, first performing with the band at Heatwave Festival on 1980 August 23. Dolette mainly sung backing vocals, occasionally playing auxiliary percussion.

First beginning to sing as part of a Pentecostal Church choir, Dolette would eventually get her start professionally singing backup for disco records. This would lead her into similar circles to bassist Busta Jones, who asked Dolette to join Talking Heads on the their 1980-1981 tour to support Remain in Light.

Dolette would continue to play with Talking Heads through 1982, with her final performance with the band being on 1982 September 22 on the University Patio of Miami University. Following her time with Talking Heads, Dolette would sing with groups like Gang of Four, The Police and Steve Winwood.
